Statistics says, each Chinese reads 0.7 book per year. Compared with 7 books for Korean, 40 books for Japanese, 55 books for Russian, 64 for Israeli, 0.7 is pretty low number. Besides Israel, Hungarian is a surprise to me. I’ve never known Hungary is one of the two countries where reading is so popular and appreciated.
I read only 10 books last year, and one of my friends read 61 books. What a gap between us. Still, better late than never. So, the target for 2014 is, reading at least 25 books, either Chinese or English, magazines and children’s books are also counts. It sounds like a little cheap, but who cares. I am the rule.
So, here it is, 25 books per year. It means I have to read 1 book in 2 weeks, at least. Is that possible? Let’s wait and see.
