Recently, I read a news that the Shanghai government is going to change the road signs in order to accord with the international norms. The whole project will cost 200 million RMB(2亿). It is said that one road sign will cost 40000 RMB. My God...
We all know that 200 million just is piece of cake for Shanghai government. However, is it indeed necessary to spend these money on just changing the name of road signs. For most of people, especially drivers, they are used to the current road signs. This changing will ask them to adapt to the new rules and signs. It is very terriable.
From my point of view, the Shanghai government has too enough money to find a suitable way to spend, as a result, the waste happened...
