people, person, human, one, man 辨析

【辨析】这五个词都与“人”有关。

  People“人，人们”，a people表示“一个民族”;the people表示“人民”。该词单、复数相同。但有时其后可加“s”

Person“人”，该词是man, woman或child的总称。

Human“人类”，表示“成年人”的较多。复数为humans.

One“一个人”，是不定代词。表示人们应尽的职责与义务或经常性的习惯时，一般用“one”,其物主代词是“one’s”，反身代词是“oneself”。

Man“一个人”，主要是与动物的区别。复数为men。

【例】The Chinese people is a brave and hard-working people.中华民族是一个勤劳勇敢的民族。

We must unite the people of the world.我们必须团结世界各族人民。

We must serve the people heart and soul.我们必须全心全意地为人民服务。

The film was written about a real person.电影描写的是一个真实的人。

He is a person with good manners.他是一个有礼貌的人。

The robot changes his work, just as a human would do.机器人改变他的工作，就像真人做的一样。

One should love one’s own country.一个人应当热爱自己的祖国。

One must be honest.一个人千万要诚实。

Man can speak, but the animals can’t. 人类能说，可动词不会。
