It Based loosely on the book of the same name by Sylvia Nasar. The film has been criticized for its inaccurate portrayal of some aspects of Nash's life. The film fictionally portrayed his hallucinations as visual and auditory, when in fact they were exclusively auditory.

It's a Wonderful Life (美好人生) is a 1946 American drama film produced and directed by Frank Capra and loosely based on the short story "The Greatest Gift" written by Philip Van Doren Stern. This is director Frank Capra's classic bittersweet drama about George Bailey, the eternally-in-debt guiding force of a bank in the typical American small town of Bedford Falls. It's a Wonderful Life lost money in its original run, when it was percieved as a fairly downbeat view of small-town life. The Pursuit of Happyness (当幸福来敲门时) is a 2006 American biographical drama film, directed by Gabriele Muccino and based on the true story of Chris Gardner. Gardner, the hero of the film, is an on-and-off-homeless salesman-turned stockbroker. The screenplay by Steven Conrad is based on the eponymous best-selling memoir written by Gardner with Quincy Troupe. The film was released on December 15, 2006, by Columbia Pictures.
