相比传统博客，以“短、灵、快”为特点的“微博”几乎不需要很高成本，只需三言两语，就可记录下自己某刻的心情、某一瞬的感悟。如今又有个词叫“微访”，它可不是什么“微服私访”的简称，而是从“微博”中延伸出来的一个新词。
那么，“微访”是什么意思？
Like real-life Twitter, this is a quick meeting with someone, usually a friend, which takes 140 seconds or less. Often there is only time to greet the other person and to pass the time of day.
就像现实生活中的微博一样，微访通常是指和朋友短暂地碰面，时间不超过140秒。
例如: Nick came over the other day but sadly he only had time for a microvisit, leaving almost as soon as he'd arrived.
上句中,“microvisit”就是“微访”的意思。
那我们在前文提到的“微服私访”，该怎么说呢？
这个为清宫剧做出了卓越贡献的“微服私访”就是“incognito visit”。“incognito”表示“改名的，匿名的”。
例如：The prince travelled incognito to avoid crowds and ceremonies. 王子微服旅行以避开人群及避免欢迎仪式。

farewell

崇尚饮食的中国人，习惯于将内心的感情在饭桌上化解或宣泄，离愁当然也不例外。于是乎，“散伙饭”就成了每个学子临毕业前的最后一堂必修课。
首先来看例句：
Actress Emma Watson hosted a farewell dinner party at her home for her 'Harry Potter' co-stars as the cast filmed their last scenes for the final movie in London.
上句farewell dinner party就是“散伙饭”，大意是Emma在家为拍摄完结的电影哈利波特的其他主演举办了告别宴会。
那么，为什么散伙饭要用“farewell”而不是“goodbye”呢？
其实两者都可以表示“再见”，但是相较之下“goodbye”用得很频繁，意思也很单纯——再见，待会儿见。而“farewell”则更正式，并且含有诀别或者不容易再次见面的意思。比如说：
They waved farewell to their friends on the train. 他们向火车上的朋友挥手告别。
