A Great Ship Asks Deep Waters

When someone is told "a great ship",it means he or she has much power. The "deep waters" can extened as "a very good position". So the whole sentence that "a great ship asks deep waters" means a person with great abilities and powers should go to the place where suit him. Example: Mike can not stay here anymore, and we all know that a great ship asks deep waters.
