A Change Of Pace

( doing it differently from the way it was done before ... )

A change of pace is when a different thing is done or when the same thing is done but in a different way. Example: "What would you like me to make for dinner?" Reply: "Let's have sushi, for a change of pace."

Something done for a change of pace is done for the pleasure of doing it differently from the way it is usually done.
