Cutting Corners

( spending less money and doing cheaper quality work ... )

Cutting corners is doing lower quality work in order to save time or money. Example: "They cut a lot of corners when they built this house. Now have so many problems to fix."

Spending less time or money on a project is called "cutting corners" and it usually results in lower quality work. Example: "We do only the finest quality work. We never cut corners."
