    在德国法兰克福举行的2001年MTV欧洲音乐奖颁奖典礼上，Robbie Williams 和Jeniffer Lopez分别获得了年度最佳男女歌手奖。当时正在澳大利亚演出的Robbie Williams 虽然未出席典礼，但却没忘了给观看现场直播的129个国家的一亿名观众带来了幽默的获奖演说。

　　在中学就表现出与众不同的演唱及舞蹈才能的他似乎生来就是玩笑专家，16岁加入Take That 乐队后仍不改本色。也许就是这种无拘无束的个性使他无法忍受乐队对每个成员规定的条条框框，1995年他离开了正如日中天的Take That。和George Michael 一样他经历了让人苦恼的合约纠纷，一年后终于得以发行了第一首个人单曲"Freedom"，晋身于英国排行榜的第二名，仅次于辣妹组合。之后他又纠正了酗酒和吸毒等恶习。1997年12月圣诞节单曲"Angles"的面市是Robbie Williams 歌唱生涯的真正开始。98年，专辑"I誺e Been Expecting You"在流行乐坛获得广泛认可，2000年他又发行了专辑"Sing When You're Winning"。最新单曲 "Eternity"目前出现在World Chart Show等排行榜上，成为各地的热播曲。
