irony,sarcasm,satire区别
Irony:冷嘲,讽刺,反话。(表面的话语实际的意思相反)。通常具有幽默或强调的作用。
eg.She said to him with slight irony.
Mark Twain’s humor is filled with irony.
Sarcasm:讽刺,嘲笑(尖刻的挖苦的意思)。表达蔑视。
eg.Your sarcasm clearly hurt his feelings.
Satire:讽刺(经过思考,但不一定辛辣的不让人改过)。指通过幽默对人,想法或机构的讽刺和取笑,特别是对政治和时事。
eg.The play is full of satire.
The movie is a clever satire on the advertising industry.
