　　歌词里歌颂的生命万岁是指自由的意思，生命不是单纯活着，而是自由的有意义的活着。歌名是西班牙语，也是一句名句。从歌词中可看出，这首歌写的人物是路易十六，其背景是法国大革命前后。“Revolutionaries wait for my head on a silver plate”这句歌词可以明显看出，还有一句形容法国大革命的那股革命风暴的就是“It was a wicked and wild wind”。该段最后一句“Oh who would ever want to be king?”，我想算得上是对路易十六的同情吧。虽说路易十六和玛丽王后毫不在乎法国人民的生活，对政治的漠不关心很不负责任，但我觉得这更像是命运和他们玩了一个游戏，而且他们输了。 　　玛丽原本只是一个什么都不懂，天真的小公主，加上她本身并不像维多利亚一样那么灵敏，她更像一个邻家女孩，完全不适合宫廷里的明争暗斗。若她不是一个公主，没有嫁入法国王室，只是一个普通的女孩，那么她很有可能过着美好的生活，活泼待人真诚热情的她也会受到人们的喜爱，或许还会因她在艺术方面的领悟能力而成为一名艺术家。但是她不是，命运无情的把她塞入一个公主的身份里，让她接受她根本无法承受的厚礼——成为王后。她不懂政治，她不知道她身边的最亲近的朋友是为什么和她亲近，她是一个轻而易举就能被人利用，过后还全然不知发生过了什么的女孩，她怎么能当王后？而且她也不知道到王后是什么，只知道当上了王后就可以享受荣华富贵，没有人告诉过她王后的责任是什么。路易十六也不是一个当国王的料，反而是他的那些可怕的兄弟更适合当国王（真不知道他这个王位怎么混来的！）。不可不承认，他的确是一个好丈夫，他总是毫无怨言地为玛丽偿还巨额债务，如果他是一个普通人，人们谈论的则是他对玛丽的好，而不是他的笨拙。就像《断头王后》的作者斯蒂芬?茨威格所说的:“他们都不过是平凡的普通人，他们既不残忍也不邪恶。相反，与大多数人一样，有着和善友好的基本品质。生于一个平凡时代，他们或许还是能受到人们的普遍尊敬。可悲的是，他们都不具备应付动荡混乱的杰出能力，在戏剧化的历史中顽强坚定地活着。他们注定只能不平凡的死去。”
