Lunch is really a problem

For most office workers, lunch is a headache.
Lunch has never been a problem for me, as I am not picky about food. I always know what I want to eat for lunch as long as there are plenty of restaurants around my workplace.
However, since our company had moved into a new office building far away from the city center, lunch has become a problem for me. As there are no restaurants close by except a small convenience store. You must wonder how other working people solve their lunch problem. Well, of course, we have three choices.
Firstly, there are more than a dozen peddlers who are allowed to sell fast food during the lunchtime, but the time is limited, the peddlers have to leave around 12:30 at noon, or else, they will be fined and driven away by the urban management . Secondly, you can walk 20 minutes to an urban village, there are some small restaurants. Thirdly, you can take a packed lunch to the office, and the company provides the a microwave oven for the employees.
As the lunchtime and noon break of our company is from 12:30 to 14:30, so, most of the time, if we are lucky and some "brave" fast food sellers has not left away, we will choose to eat the fast food, which are mainly rice with some vegetables and meat. For me, I don't want to go to that urban village, it's really a waste of time. And, if I take food myself, I have to get up early in the morning and prepare for the lunch. Oh, god! It's really headache.

- Lunch should be a simple thing but it really depends on where you are working. Even if you are working in a busy city center, lunch is still a problem because everybody concentrates on the lunch hour (Our lunch hour is 12:30 to 1:30 = 1 hour). All the regular food outlets are packed with people and it is so tiring to line up and wait for the lunch box. By the time I get my lunch time is over and I have to eat and swallow quick like force feeding a duck.
Some friends prepare their lunch at home and bring back to office. They kindly offered to prepare my lunch too at nominal cost. That used to work well, but after some time I found myself tired lack energy. The food failed to provide me with strength. Later my friends found a restaurant a distance from my workplace which sold us fresh home cooking with a healthy variety of dishes.
When I was staying in Guangzhou for work, I really love the food found there. I moved frequently because of work location. No matter where I go I found lots of things to eat. I loved to go to those back street food shops where they provide nice fresh food and plenty to choose from. At first, they panicked when they see a westerner or foreigner ordering, they always say ''solly no English'' but they soon get shocked when I spoke Chinese well and I knew their food as much as they do. I am so bad to shock them... haha. It is fun and good laugh for all of us always. Friends say there are health risks but I am still alive because I don't go to the rundown stops and I only patronize those which looked clean and hygienic. Really want to go back there for eating because here at my home, the restaurants only care about interior decoration and fancy service, but the food is plasticky and unreal. Service is good but who cares about service.

- Maybe you can bring one or two pieces of sandwich, together with a bottle of yogurt and some fruit for lunch, but just for some time, or for lazy time, as it's not full of enough energy for the whole day.

- You forget? I can speak excellent Guangdong dialect (Cantonese). If you listen to my Cantonese without seeing me, you will think I am Guangdong people.
