The day before yesterday, I went to Tang Paradise in Qujiang New District with my colleague. Along the way, clear and crisp, the sky was blue. It was such a beautiful day that made you feel pretty pleasant. Yet, the unlucky thing happened when I exited form the Tang Paradise after I saw Water Screen Movie “The Monkey King”. As for me, I had to go back to my dormitory from the southernmost to the northernmost. You see, college students in Xi’an organized a large-scale anti-Japanese protest parade. The procession marched form Wild Goose Pagoda to North Street and then to Bell Tower which locates in the center of Xi’an, leading to traffic paralysis. Then buses couldn’t pass through the city center and taxies were full of people and you could hardly see a taxi for hire. I was so anxious but the reality was reality. After waiting for more than one hour, my colleague, a local people, told me that there had little possibility to have a taxi for hire according to the situation. Then he arranged a room in one hotel near his home for me. While having supper, I received several calls from my other colleagues asking why I still hadn’t come back and they worried about me. After eating, I went out to wait for taxi again, over half hour; there came a taxi which was with one person. So, you can understand this was so-called “shared taxi”. Finally, I arrived at my dormitory before 12 o’clock. It was a day with both joys and sorrows!
