Interest, Confidence and Love
It is like how a tree grows that interest takes the root, confidence makes the trunk and love is born as the fruit. A life without interest is a life whose happiness is extinguished, to the degree that even dreaming contains much more activities than staying awake. Interest ignites the vitality of life, and is the basis of building confidence. When I say confidence, I mean the tenderest braveness to live proudly, on the condition that one has transformed his interest into the fondest devotion. Interest and confidence, so far as I am concerned, are not what life is eventually about. It is only love, the fruit that the former two would finally bear, that makes life as lofty as possible. With love we live under the sunshine of hope, and dream ideal dreams in the rather realistic world. Here, when I say love, it means the affections towards not only what we have interest and confidence in, but also what we are perceiving and appreciating every day.
