Laba festival is the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month ,and this festival started from Song dynasty .Laba porridge and laba garlic are tranditional foods in the day , Laba porridge are inculding for  eight kind of material ( chinese red date/ red bean /chest nut /broad bean/job's tears /sticky rice/....,) .  a wide difference in tastes around the country , because the custom is different in different region,  in north of china people are like to eat  laba garlic. I live in south of china , so iI prefere the sweet laba porridge .
