In ancient Greece, there were two boys. A King adopted the brothers, but the queen was jealousy of the children. She always wanted to get rid of them. So she plotted to kill the boys during a ceremony. The King, their father, gave them a present. It was a golden ram, bestowed with a pair of wings. During the ceremony, the brothers rode on the golden ram and the ram flew up, taking them from the palace. The boys flew higher and higher, riding on the golden ram. The ram flew on and on, but the small child behind did not have much strength and he could not hold onto the body of the ram. While the ram was flying across a strait, the small boy fell off the ram and fell into the strait. The larger boy survived, and the ram landed on an island.
The golden fleece was left on the earth. The winged golden ram was raised to the sky, an image among all the stars. Without its gleaming coat, Constellation Aris looked dim.
