Sol Symphony Prelude

291 views. 2022-4-8 12:17 |Individual Classification:Sol Symphony| novel, English, ideas

One day, I fluttered over treetops, soared among leaves and frolicked in sunrays cheerfully. At the crack of dawn, bright lemon rays shimmered from summits. A frosty star was flickering in the moist, fresh sky. For a moment, crimson sunrays radiated from the globe, infusing pinkish and greenish rays in pure blue sky. The filament enlightened, and at higher tiers, the blue tones deepened.
I fluttered my whitish, fluffy wings and sailed in clear blue sky. The wind picked up, rattling acorns and crackling icicles. Snowflakes were whirling from summits, and icicles were sparkling in sunrays. I flapped my wings and glided in the air. Take a deep breath. The air felt chilly and refreshing. Fly over rosy tops of clouds and look for a perch in the greeneries. Swoop down on a great oak, panting and skipping.
A robin was chirping, a harbinger of early spring. Cheer up! Cheer up! In high spirit, the red breasted robin sang in repeated verses, starting dawn chorus in the woods. I started a tune, humming merry notes. A warbler was singing in prolonged, slurred notes. More birds were chirping and twittering. A lark soared skyward, and sang in high pitched tone. The birds and I chorused in harmonious chords. Concord rhythm and melodious melody.
When tranquility resumed in the woods, golden sunrays glowed over thick canopies in the woods. Looking up at the treetops, warm sunrays flickered among thick branches. A new leaf was uncurling from a silvery twig, wrapped with thin frost. Some more pale green leaves were sprouting from oak branches. Snow water was dripping from a rock, and a creek was flowing nearby.
I spread my whitish, fluffy wings comfortably in the sunrays. Venus cresent was shimmering in a corner of sky, fringing gold in soft turrets of clouds. Muse on the soul. Loving, blissful and brave, I am kindred. Moderation is happiness. In harmony with nature, virtue would germ in me. Nourish my mind with encyclopedic knowledge.
All the stars are the same, and every leaf is different. Summarize all the plants, and categorize all the creatures on the planet. Ask questions, and keep curiosity. Start to think, then everything in daily life would glitter with the rays of knowledge.
Delightful and light hearted, I skipped on a bough, and hopped on a new branch. I tried my wings and fluttered over treetops. I found a new perch and landed over a crimson attic among greeneries. Birds were chattering and squirrels were scampering on firs. Rabbits were playing in the glades, over a sunny slope. Honey was dripping from the trees, and it turned warm instantly, as if it is forever spring.
I wondered if the language of birds would be interpreted. Probably, only mystical birds could speak in human tone. White Crow was chirping and twittering in human tone!
In a moment, White Crow flapped his broad wings and glided to me, greeting me in human tone:
       Morning! Sol!
      Morning! White Crow!
I always wondered why White Crow was able to speak to me in human tone. Probably he is a mystical bird in our mystical woods. When White Crow perched on his bough near the Attic, we chatted in English, French and Chinese. I spoke English fluently, quoting some new words I listened from a textbook. White Crow mastered French fluently, and told me some new words. I read some Chinese poems, and enjoyed the verses.
I learned Latin and ancient Greek. Latin was a classical language in Europe. Greek is elegant and inspiring. Latin sounded unique, and there are many variations in noun cases and verb tenses. Greek would be more complex, written in scripts. The language of philosophers, scientists and nobles.
Curiosity of ancient languages arouse in my mind, and we flew in the Attic. Sunrays streamed from skylight in the attic. A bookshelf stood in the corner, stacked to the ceiling with all kinds of books. On a low wooden round table, laid several large apples and all sorts of fruit and berries, and the whole room smelt fragrant. Bright sunrays radiated in the attic from the skylight above.
I fluttered to the high bookshelf, browsing all the books. I flipped books and hovered in midair, from top to bottom. On the top shelf there were many parchment rolls, written in Rune or other unknown ancient languages. On the third shelf there were encyclopedias bound with thick covers, with golden leaves gilded over the covers. On the second shelf I found a set of Latin textbook and workbook. Greek textbook and workbook was in a corner. On the first shelf, stacked some Chinese books, English dictionaries and French books.
I took out my delicate slab pen, grand in golden sand and set with gold at the tip. I took out my Latin textbook, and read Latin vocabulary. Then I translated some Latin sentences literally into English on my slab. I read some Latin grammar, and I yawned. I took out an English novel and read with great interest. Then I wrote down some English words and phrases on my slate pen.
White Crow was squeaking and he took out a quill from an ink bottle. I took out my slab and said:
“White Crow, this is my Latin homework.”
White Crow, with sharp eyes, reviewed all my Latin sentences and translation.
All correct. You have good memory. You can remember all the verbs and nouns. And do all the grammar texts naturally. You are never bored of grammar, as you know the harmony and melody in languages. You are interested in languages, child.
        White Crow nodded.
Now shall we learn about some music scores of the Muses? I inquired. Music is the harmony of nature, and the best quality of an ideal citizen.
