Are you a people who like music?Do you pay attention to the background music of the TV series or programmes?In fact,lots of Chinese TV programmes have no their own background music.In addition,the right of music record can not be protected well for the serious legal loophole in China.Almost all the TV programme producers "borrow" the excellent music from other composers without any permission.Meanwhile the composers of these music deserve no pay even their music are applied to some famous programmes.I think perhaps they even don't know their masterpieces are played in another country for no one inform them.
I spent some time cleaning these music up and listed them.Of course,they are only a small part.

1.Conquest of Paradise-Vangelis
It is considered to be one of the most classic background music in 90s.The first time I heard it was 4 years ago.I remember that TV series is called 沉默的证人,which is one of the best chinese TV series I have ever seen.I recommend it!This piece of music was written words in chinese and acts as the ending song of this wonderful play which is called 光芒.In my opinion,it can be included into a cover vision,not infringement of copyright.As a matter of fact,the original composer is Vangelis,who is a master of electronic music in the world.It comes from his record called 1492: Conquest of Paradise which was released in 1992.His aim to create this piece of music is singing the praises of Columbus for his braveness in discovering the New World.It actually has many versions and are always applied to the spectculars in Great Sport Games and Military programmes all over the world.
2.丝绸之路The silk Road-喜多郎(Kitaro)
It is a tragedy that the person who express the culture of China prefectly by music is a japanese not a chinese!I used to hear it in the weather forecast in some channel.
3.Kiss the rain-yiruma
At first,yiruma is a korean and at the same time he is also a genius in music.He learned class music in London when he was a child.The feature of his music is the good fusion of western and eastern music.By the way,this piece of music is played during the class interval in my college.Nice music!!!
4.Conan-Johann Pachelbel
You will not be familiar with this song if you see a movie called 我的野蛮女友.Most people know it from this romantic movie.However,Conan is a typical class music. It has many versions and are received by the public.
5.世上唯一的花朵(世界に一つだけの花)-女子十二乐坊
The original singer is SMAP.If you like Japanese POP,you are sure to know who they are.SMAP is composed of five superstars.So SMAP is a super group.世界に一つだけの花 is one of their singles and then played by 女子十二乐坊 again in order to enter the Japanese market.Their record were actually sold well in Japan later.In fact,the twelve young girls has played many other classic pop music by their chinese instruments,such as my heart will go on.You can enjoy them from a very different lens.I heard this piece of music played on some channel of Shanghai this Spring Festival.
6.骑士王の夸り-川井宪次
It comes from the OST(original song tracks) of cartoon Fate/Stay Night.This piece of music is written for the heroine-sober.I really heard it in 王刚讲故事!I can not believe my ear that moment......
7.久石让
I want to say 久石让 is a name of a people not a song or something.His English name is Quincy Jones.He is a japanese and a brilliant composer of New Age music.I can say he is the most popular musician to the chinese TV programmes makers for his songs are used frequently and widely on TV,even some other aspects.I listed five

a.summer
It comes from the OST of 菊次郎的夏天.I can not remember how many times this masterpiece has been played on TV.The people who played the piano in this video is Quincy Jones himself.
b.君をのせて(carrying you)
Quincy Jones is the only composer who cooperate with 宫崎骏 in his cartoon movies.This song is the theme song of Laputa:Castle in the Sky(国译：天空之城),which is one of the most classic movies of 宫崎骏.I recommend it!
c.Always with me
It is the theme song of Spirited Away(千与千寻).Perhaps it is the most famous movie of 宫崎骏 for the world was attracted by the charm of it.It won the Oscar for best animated feature (奥斯卡金像奖最佳长篇动画) and Berlin International Film Festival Golden Bear Award(柏林国际电影节金熊奖) that year and the whole world started to pay attention to Japanese cartoon.The DVD was released even in China.
d.the rain
It also comes from movie 菊次郎的夏天.It was played many times in the famous TV series 士兵突击.You can hear the theme melody "summer" in the end of this piece of music.
e.The Legend of Ashitaka Theme
It is the theme song of Princess Mononoke(幽灵公主),one classic movie of 宫崎骏 in 1997.I think it is an earlier work of him but it is profound.I did not fully understand it after seeing this movie.
Can you find the melody you are familiar with in these songs I recommend?We can find that the music made by japanese composer are a large part of the background music used in today's TV programmes.The reason is that there are lots of OSTs in Japan.Every play,including cartoon,music drama,movie and TV series all has their own music to use,which is a large source in music!As far as the OST of cartoon,countless classic background music used to appeared on TV.What I said is not a good phenomenon!I believe chinese have ability to create great music.I hope a channel full with original music,not just "borrow"!
