Why can't men take an umbrella in such hot days?

The weather in beijing these day is very hot.Two days ago it has come to 40 degree.But when you go outside,you can see a very common phenomennon that almost every woman takes an umbrella.But such fortunes don't occur to us ,men.Yesterday I went to Olympic forest park.On my way ,a group of boys and girls went aside from my body.I heared what they talked.One boy complained "Oh,my god ,why you girls can take an unbrella and we can't".The girl replied "haha,because you are men and if anyone of you do such things ,you will attract great eyes."I don't understand why can't we men use umbrella avoiding such strong sunshine?Just bacause we are men?
