Xixi's Childhood

Xixi was born into a special family in Luonan village, Hefei, Anhui province. Her father is polio survivor and her mother has dwarfism(侏儒), and their disabilities have left the family struggling to make the ends meet. As soon as she was physically able to do so, Xixi started to help her parents do chores such as washing clothes, feeding a goat and cooking. She is only 5 years of age, a time when most children don't have any concept of chores, and their full time job is supposed to be playing their toys leisurely and carefree. I don't know how you feel seeing these pictures. My tears welled up in my eyes. Isn't it too early for her to shoulder the burden of life at such a tender age?
