Write about the following topic:
Mordern lifestyles mean that many parents have little time for their children .Many children do not get as much attention from their parents as children did in the past. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
You should write about at least 250 words.
About whether children get more attention or less attention from their parents nowadays,people have two opposite view.On the one hand,people holding the view that children get more attention from their parents have following reasons to support their view. Under the one child policy, most Chinese family only have one child.This one child has being the centre of whole family since he or she born.This one child get the best everything giving by their parents.Parents pin their hopes on the only child. So,of course children nowadays get more attention from their parents.What's more? With the development of society,people gradually draw much attention to childrens mental health,physical health and education.Many parents even willing to give up their decent job to take care of their children.They invest much money to childrens' education.They sent their children to learn piano,dancing,English,math,and other different classes.
However,on the other hand, a group of people believe that children nowadays receiving less attention from their parents.Parents are busy because of high pressure jobs,fierce competition.They don't even have time to slow down to enjoy the time spent with their child.Children are often left at home with grandma and grandpa.Parents who don't have time to take care of their children are trying to make it up by giving much money ,buying expensive gifts.They regard it as their love or their attention ,Well, it's not. Some children even don't have many chance to see their parents during a year ,for they live with grandma and grandpa in small village while parents work in big cities or they live with grandma and grandpa in big cities, while parents work in other countries. For children like this, they really need to have parents stand by their side.
So,both views make sense,the reasons which support their view are reasonable. In my eyes,children are parents' hope of rest life after all.Therefore,children definitly share the most part of parents' attention. More or less whatever,we don't have a standard.Most importantly, different parents have different ways of showing their attention to their children.

- Is this your homework? I suggest that you focus on one standpoint and prove it with your argument. It's confusing for the reader if you support two opposite standpoints. Anyway, this is just my personal opinion.
