After putting a bottle cap and a length of iron wire in the groove at the top of the toilet paper container in a bathroom, H sank down into the sofa and began to surf the internet in the sitting room. Suddenly a slight bang from the bathroom came into H’s ears, ‘what happened?’ Without too much thinking, cautiously, H walked into the bathroom. Hardly had H got into the bathroom, did he notice that the very bottle cap lying at the doorway of the bathroom and the wire in a basin in it.

There didn’t seem to be an earthquake,

 no one around was decorating rooms,

the newly decorated flat hide no insects big enough to bump the things off,

so???

Double locked the door, holding something similar to a rod, H began to search each room, opening up each wardrobe, even the drawer of the fridge, under the bed, behind the door, top of the wardrobe… each place that is likely to hide a person.

But, no luck.

I was knitting the sweater on bed when my son fell asleep last night. feeling sleepy myself, I began to tidy up the knitting sets, but,’ where’s the tape measure I used just now?”

I remembered that I used it a moment ago. it’s not a small thing, you know.

I began to search it in clothes, knitting yarn bag, under the pillow, the ground, everywhere around the bed..., no~~luck.

“I’m a materialist, I am! who can deny it,eh?”

I went to sleep, but my mind refused to stop wondering: where the hack is the tape? Where?

I thought of the phone call several hours before from my husband. Oh, mind you, that H above is my hubby who went to our town house for something to do.

And I remembered the bottle cap,

And the iron wire,

And, my heart began to ache!
