Streetwise, promiscuous big brother---Anthony "Tony" D. DiNozzo

Under the mask of his juvenile sense of humor, his immature behavior towards women, Tony is indeed an insightful and capable agent when the needs arise. When Gibbs not around, especially during the period when Gibbs retired, he managed to get the whole team together and took many jobs which have required a lot of responsibilities. His happy-go-luck (and sometimes obnoxious) attitude often fools us, and make us forget that he is also a man of quick mind and a man with powerful intuition. When Ducky once said that ten years ago Gibbs was much like Antony, at first I found it hard to believe. It’s just difficult to picture young Gibbs as a smartmouth, a player to the soul and a chauvinisticwho flirting with nearly every woman he encounters. However, when Gibbs forced Mc to pick up maggots from a crime scene---something poor Mc dread most, I saw the glints in his eyes----just the same when Antony called Mc Probie. Perhaps, Antony is indeed the younger version of Gibbs---only without the cynical layers left by the horrible loss of Gibb’s life.  Tony has a strong respect to Gibbs---the way a son admires a father. He is easily riled when it seems that Gibbs has a new favorite, and tries desperately to win back favor---which has cause a tension between him and Ziva.

Rebellious, runaway big sister--- Ziva David

She was a Mossadofficer from Israel sent to NCIS, some kind of a double-agent. But after being betrayed by her lover, she decided to resign from Mossad. She rejoined the team and became a probationary special agent in season 7. Being trained and raised up as a killing machine, she seldom relax the iron control that characterized her every move, or lose the coolness that lay over her expression. Therefore, at first she had a hard time to melt into the team. Especially in one episode, Gibbs was badly injured. Everyone was extremely upset, especially Abby, she rushed into the emergency room and implored the nurse to let her in. Even the matter-of-fact nurse was moved by her broken blabbering and finally opened the door. However, the expression over Ziva's face was almost indifferent, which irritated almost the rest of the team. Afterwards hidden in the rest room, behind every body, Ziva broke into tears. The relationship between Ziva and Tony is also very interesting. Tony, who often proud of his approach to ladies, found her intimidating. They often try to outdo each other in verbal and physical competition. Just as Ducky phrased, they strived for Gibb’s (a father figure to both of them) attentions all the time. Despite that, the mutual romantic attractions between these two are easily to been seen although lack of evidence. Perhaps that is for the best. Such romance always went sour in soaps, like Chase and Cameron in House, or Sara and Grissom in CIS. Undefined relationship suit NCIS better.

Jeeky young Brother-- Timothy McGee

Poor McGee, his double degree in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Forensics combined with his great success as a detective writer still couldn’t save him from being the objective of ridicule from Ziva and Tony, and to some extent, Gibbs. In one episode, when McGee was helping rewire Abby's hotbox, Gibbs walked in and called him "Special Agent Goodwrench." And he has a series of nicknames from Antony: Probie,  "McGeek, McGPS, McProof, McLawyer,McGiggle, McGoo, McNerd….. Still he is an irreplaceable member of team--- besides field angent, he also act as Gibbs' computer consultant time to time and and sometimes assists Abby Sciuto in the forensics lab when necessary. Mc and Abby is a perfect match in many ways. They dated once. Although they broke up, they are still very close and often tease each other about their previous relationship. With a constant undertone of flirtation, we can’t help but expect that there might be something more.

Gothic, beloved young sister---Abigail "Abby" Sciuto

A scientific genius with a triple major in sociology, criminologyand psychology, an energetic chatterbox, a happy gothic, Abby is well loved by almost everyone. As a square peg who stubbornly resisted all efforts to whittle down her corners so she would fit into the roundhole, Abby finally found a home in NCIS, where she need not to pretend to be someone else, or dress like a babi doll just to fit into the rules. Because Gibbs is there, who always shows a tolerance for her idiosyncrasies, who would say: " Screw the rules” so she could happily wear what she like. Sciuto is well-versed in her field of study; she is rarely stumped by the puzzles that Gibbs' team presents to her. However she seems to have another gift---that is to find troubles. As a lab staff, the times she stepped into danger was even more than a field agent: being stalked by her ex-friend, threatened by a hit man, stabbed with a knife by her assistant, almost killed by Mc’s crazy fan, and during her only business trip to Newyork, she was kidnapped and almost murdered by a series killer!
