There is a report in online news about a special wedding between a Chinese engineer and his AI bride who can talk, cook, and perform certain house chores.

AI is and will continue to be evolving at a speed we could hardly imagine. Where will this evolution lead us to, Heaven or Hell?  We and our next generation might be able to witness a huge transformation of our society as well as the endless possibility in our life brought by rapid-changing AI technology.

Chances are that AI will replace our human being in many ways. It might free us from the hardship of working, creating an almost heaven-like world where nobody needs to work, where we live only to enjoy. Is it too good to be true? Once we can’t do anything without the help of AI, would our identity also be eliminated?

So, it is also likely we’ll end up being controlled and even enslaved by this new species we are creating with our own hands now. Think about how many hours we’ve already spent with our cellphone a day and can you honestly say that you can live perfectly well without it? And picture a system that can make everything in your like so easy like snapping your figures, can you honestly say that you would resist such temptation? And when you lay everything in the hands of this system, what do you still have to cut the teeth with it once it betrayed your trust?

Whatever different opinions we may have toward AI—whether it’s a benefit or a threat—one thing is for sure. The survivor of the fittest. The human being also needs to evolve—and the more creative and innovate we become, the better chance we have of surviving and prospering.
