人字拖(Flip-Flops)又叫“夹趾拖鞋”。单听该词的发音,那踢踢踏踏的节奏就已传出了一种随意和自在。代表着时尚、自由、活泼和快乐的“人字拖”是年轻人的最爱。但医生说,穿“人字拖”有害健康,会引起关节疼痛、脚踝扭伤等一系列脚部问题


Flip-flops are one of the most popular shoes among women, with 15 million wearing them a day in summer, according to shoe firm MBT which obtained the figures.

Recently,after Deborah Brook, developed a blister after wearing flip-flops, she went to see her doctor. She knows the shoes aren't the best fit for her feet but she likes them for they are convenient. So they are, and in some cases, fashionable.

However, flip-flops have never been a favor of foot physicians. The flat shoes are bad for the arches gives poor support which can lead to ankle injuries and because your feet slide in them, they can cause blisters, calluses, or even shin splints and joint pains. The National Health Service spends £40 million a year treating injuries caused by wearing the casual footwear.

Dr. Kathya Zinszer Temple dept of medicine and orthopedics said” You need to make sure that you are securing the bio-mechanism of your foot. so if you just get what people call slide or just simple, kind of rubbery type of flip-flops, it is even more dangerous than trying to do something bare foot."

Kathya suggests when people want to wear flip-flops, they need consider what their risk factors are, that is to say, flip-flop wearers would do well to think twice before slipping on a pair and pick it wisely.

Here is what we shall know about flip-flops:

the flip-flops should be complement to our toes' activities. Going to the gym, flip-flops can protect us from organism and public showers. But if we are going hiking, leave the flip-flops at home.
