How much SPECIAL DATES mean to us ladies?

I really remember some special dates as you. My parents and my sister's birthday. I called them on their birthday day and talked long time with them(I said them here, but actually almost all calls were answered by my mom, and she conveied my best wished to my dad and my sister. Then she talked with me). Although I was far away from home on their birthday for many years, I never forgot to give them a phone call. And I can definitely say that they are very very happy to receive my call. There are many special days in one year, for girls and boys, we may have different opinions on special day. But I think special days are important for ladies, men should remember some special days that their girl friends appreciate. And also celebrate some special days they appreciate with their girl friends.
