It is a long story.  In 2002, I heard two people speak Chinese for every one who speaks English. In 2004, I decided to teach myself Chinese.  In 2008 I contacted group of Chinese students attending the University of Arkansas.  One of them wanted to find an American girlfriend (he's still looking for a girlfriend and he is back in China now with his Ph. D. complete).  That led me to find www.ok-english.net which led me to this site.  My friends here invited me to QQ so the story continues!

Very well.  It is improving every day.  I'm learning more and more.  I can understand a little of the conversations in Chinese on TV movies.  I can speak and read a little.
