If you have watched a lot treasure-hunting movies, you would easily discover that they have varieties of similarities.
The location of the hidden treasure is always set in a deserted area far away from cities. The treasures are finally hunted out, but no one could ever bring them home. For example, in Twelve Zodiacs (Forgive me, though it’s not really a treasure-hunting movie), the gold bars were hidden inside a hollowed tree trunk. Even though they were moved away from the uninhabited island, they still sink deep into the sea during the shipment. After all, the treasures will neither fall into the hand of the side with justice nor will it be captured by the wicked side.
Even in those western animations, it has the same theme. Recently, I watched an animation: Tad, the Lost Explorer, which was released in 2012. Downloading such kind of outdated animations onto the MP5 player and watching them when lying on bed at night is the most enjoyable thing in my life. This animation just tells us a story about the treasure-hunting between two forces. Of course, the villains were finally defeated by the positive characters represented by Tad, the construction worker who dreamed of being an archeologist from very young. And the animation has a happy ending: The treasure is kept in the cave and guarded by the mummies as before and Tad reaps his love—Unexpectedly to the protagonist, but to be expected by the audience.
