How to be an English SEOer?

As an English lover, I like writing and translating. Recently, I am getting interested in SEO promotion. My friend told me that I have to learn how to write articles of blind advertising. According to my understanding, I should know some basic rules or techniques about writing effective copies, and know what I should say to make my potential costomer have the desire of trying my product.
Just like those advertising brochures sent by various hospitals, they write some related stories to attract the readers' attention. The name of the hospital or a certain medical technology owned by this hospital will be contained in the story. Such kind of marketing has become very common in people's daily life. Gradually, they were saw through by people.Therefore, even a very successful copy can only receive some short-term benefits. So, a copywrtier of an SEO should be creative and have special insights.
To be an English SEOer, I do have a long way to go, but I think I can make it. Any kind suggestions about how to be a good SEOer are welcome, please do not hesitate to offer your own unique ideas. Thank you!

- SEO means Search Engine Optimization. You have to try every methods to make your website or your product be searched by the users or potential customers. I don't know how to express, but you know, when you use Baidu or Google to search a product, you will view the first page of the browser and click on the product-related company. So, what an SEOer does is to increase their company website ranking so that the company can be easily searched out.

- I thought the company needed to pay Google or Baidu for an easier searched place. Is it a SEO’s doing? Now I grasped some idea.
