The Consulate

If you have ever been to the DMV, imagine that without a line (I got there first thing every morning), but in another language, and you have the Cambodian Chinese Consulate (I'm not sure what it was, but the local guy working behind the counter genuinely hated me and was outright counterhelpful in most things he did).  After 4 days of acquiring/doing paperwork I finally acquired my visa!  It seems like perfect timing too because my flight is tomorrow :D  I'm super excited to get to China, meet Chinese people, eat Chinese food, see Chinese attractions, and do Chinese things (yet to be determined; possibly get hustled playing Mah Jong with old ladies).

Yesterday I saw a coffee roasting company.  They were very cool.  I initially was looking for free wifi to drink coffee to, but they had neither (apparently the place had been a coffee shop but they decided to focus exclusively on the roasting side now).  They have an air roaster (shoots hot air through green coffee beans to evenly cook them; contrasted by a tumble roaster which spins and has heat on the outside) which gives a light flavor.  They had 4 or 5 beans and maybe 8 blends they were selling to numerous restaurants nearby.  They let me cup a couple of their blends and it was very delicious.  I bought a bag and am hoping I can find a way to make coffee in China :D  They get most of their beans from Cambodia, but also import some from Vietnam.

I also figured out how to connect my tablet to usb drives so it's pretty much a compooter mekmekmek.

That is everything I did this week besides eat ice cream to drown my, then, yet undetermined sorrows of not going to China.  Today I had ice cream to celebrate my success bwahaha.  Ice cream is good.

To hell with the guy at the consulate. Who the hell he think he is? He is supposed to be promotion the country and encouraging people to visit that country. I would have given him a nice lesson if he did that to me because such people have no place in society.

You appear to be a nice and colorful guy. You are most welcome here and have a great time.
