Do you guys read English language blogs? I mean, other than the ones on this site?
If you do like to read English blogs around the internet, I thought I'd share one that I like to read pretty regularly.
It's called
Brazen Careerist, it's written by a very successful businesswoman, and it features interesting discussion on topics like generational gaps, entrepreneurship, relationships, parenting, career decisions, and the changing dynamics of modern workplaces.
I like her blog for several reasons. She gives a lot of advice about advancing your career and how to effectively find work/interview for jobs/communicate with coworkers/manage employees. But her discussion on work-related themes is always stuffed with personal anecdotes that make her blog also very entertaining. She has an interesting life, and an interesting perspective. Another great thing about her blog is that it's full of links. She takes the time as she writes a new post to link to lots of older posts on the same subjects, and she also links to lots of other pages across the internet that can give you more information about whatever tangential subject she has been interested in lately. I love that almost any little prhase she mentions that I don't understand fully, or that I want to read more about... there's a link right there. Sometimes I open up ten new tabs on my browser just from reading one of her blog posts. It's a little dangerous because I can easily end up spending more time than I expected, fascinated by some random topic.
So anyway, I enjoy reading her blog, and if you are looking for more English things to read online, you might want to check this out.
(Her career-related posts are directed at an American audience. So of course, not all of the advice will be relevant if you're working in China. Still, even that portion of her blog might be fun to read because of all the stories she tells and the personal details, and anyways, it's always useful to learn about new things!)
