Hello friends. I have lots of things I want to write posts about lately, but no time to write them. I've started my fall semester of classes, and am excited about all the things I have to learn. Lots of papers and projects coming up also. And later this month I will be taking the GRE test, in preparation for applying to graduate programs. Hopefully I'll do well! Studying for it is sometimes annoying, because... well hopefully I will write a whole post on that subject, later.
In other news, my grandmother turned 90 yesterday! She is still doing quite well and seems very healthy for the most part. I spent the night before last at her house, and we played cards until well past her usual bedtime. I think she gets lonely. So do I... if I had a car, I would visit her a lot more often and we could keep each other company. She's funny though; she gets angry a lot more easily than she ever did when she was younger. She's also started to tell lots of stories about everyone. Some of the stories are very old stories about our family, so I am always interested to hear those. Some of the stories are strange: for example, she told me about one of her brothers who was kind of a jerk. I don't think I ever met him -- he lived far away. But what she told me that I thought was so weird is that he always hated spheres. If a waiter at a restaurant served him food and there were peas on the plate, he would become enraged, because he couldn't stand spherical things. What a weirdo.
