Badminton Matches Last Week

722 views. 2013-2-5 19:18

Last week, on November 28th and 29th, I attended the 26th Badminton Matches for the Old by the Badminton Federation of Gejiu. There were 14 men’s doubles and 7 women’s.  I and my partner stood for the education departments and won the championship for the men’s doubles.  First, we beat all our 6 opponents in our group, went into the final without a single lose, and then again beat our final opponents and won the last 2 matches to become the last winners.

Most people thought it would be easy for us to win the matches, but in fact it was really not, at least I didn’t think so, because it was the first time I and my partner, Mr. Tian cooperated in matches and worse more he had an injured knee, which blocked him to act, especially to move backwards.

In order to win, we had a special tactics.  We put him under  the net at the front court to block the net and to avoid being attacked, while I stayed back court to control our opponents, as well as the matches.  So in this way, we won the matches from games to games one by one to the end.

This was my first championship after my retirement, and I hope more in the future, if possible to enjoy myself.

I also like to play badminton in my leisure time.So far, i think badminton is an expensive sport, 30yuan/hour for badminton field, excluding badminton,5yuan or above /pc. I have to find more friends to share fees.

Lucky enough, I mostly play badminton in my working place in which there are four badminton fields with light which are free, and sometimes I go out to share charged paces with friends.  But what upset me most is not somewhere to play but someone to share experience and feeling in English.

Pratice make perfect. I like to watch badminton world cup competitions. It is so excited to see good performance from players. I had learnt a lot from them, paces while you are on the field is very important to save physical strength and reaction time. I am trying to play with more different strong opponents.....
