With the departure of the winter, people open their arms to embrace the loveliest season----spring. Look, the grass turns light green; the flowers are smiling and the leaves are sprouting on the trees. Loitering in the park, I couldn’t help remembering the sentence I’d read before: It was as though a rainbow had melted into my eyes. Yes, that was exactly what I was feeling.
The warm breeze brought me the pleasant sound of a little girl who wore a lovely printed dress. She was playing with a little furry dog on the lawn, running and chuckling, full of energy and joy. At that moment, I had a sense that the girl was an angel sent by God to tell people the coming of the spring. I kept on walking. Near the river, a young couple came into my sight with their delicate baby in the young lady’s arms. They walked shoulder by shoulder, smiling and telling their baby all the colorful things in spring. When I saw the young Mum kiss her baby gently, I felt that I had seen the most beautiful picture of a young family with contentment and happiness on their faces. Around them was the cheerful scenery of spring. Touched by the happy and perfect family, I was filled with appreciation and delight. I smiled and continued to stroll. When I arrived at a bench, I saw an old man and his wife coming, hand in hand. They both had gray hair and wrinkled faces, but time didn’t dilute their love. They held each other’s hand tightly, talking in a low voice. I could imagine that they walk together from spring to winter, from youth to old age. No matter how long the winter was, no matter how the surroundings changed, no matter how hard life was, they were still hand in hand, looking forward to the spring.
I sat on the bench, closed my eyes, smelled the fragrance of the flowers and listened to the songs of the birds, realizing the spring had come to everyone’s heart. The little girl was enjoying her carefree spring; the young couple was experiencing their new springs with a newborn life and the old couple, although in their declining years, still has the warm spring in their hearts.
