My friend gave birth to a girl yesterday. Congratulations to
her. Her family also feels very happy that they have son and daughter finally.
Before that, my friend worried about it would be a boy, because she has a son
with 3 years old, she wants a daughter. Now it’s what she wants. So many people
said she is lucky mother. It’s the best to have a son and a daughter.
Somebody said: if you have two kids, but not the son and daughter, it’s also happy. If you have two daughters, you have two pieces of cotton padded jacket, warm and very close. If you have two sons, you have two patron saints, brave and make you feel very safe.

- There is no good or bad in itself. Only people central their ideas on that things changed.
Anyway, it is lucky that she has a boy and girl, at leat the kid will have accompany.

- Actually, son or daughter is your own flesh and blood. Not much difference. In past years, every family wants a son to carry on the family lineage, but this has changed. Quite a lot of families are content with having a daughter only. Both a son or daughter have to struggle for a living when he or she grows up. Quite often it is the words of relatives or friends which affect our thinking on male or female.
Don't forget that there is a serious gender imbalance in China. There are too many males and insufficient females. Having a daughter is like having a diamond and a son is gold.

Nowadays, many Chinese people seem to change their thought. They claim that having a daughter is likely to own a Commercial bank. It hints money flow in. having a son is likely to be a Construction bank because you need save a lot in order to build a house for your son to get marry.
