A dialogue on bus

Boy: Do you trust me?

Girl: Yeah, I always trust you.

Boy: But don’t trust me all the time, because I don’t trust myself sometimes. Maybe I was not I myself sometimes, but I have no better way.

Girl: Why?

Boy: I am not sure, it’s complicated. I live under colorful cover, I change for some uncertain reason sometimes.

For example, they have a quarrel, and the boy says some bad words towards the girl, but he does not mean to hurt the girl and he just wants to yell out his negative feelings right now and still wants to stay with the girl and hopes the girl will not mind. Will that be a case? I wonder.
