The words of my manager

Mike has just scolded me for 2 minutes, but I felt very sad. He pointed out I was late for work. Actually I was absent only one minutes, he said as a HR assistant, I should go to work on time, other person can be late, but lating is forbidden for me, never late, must be earlier than others.
I know that a gossip tell on me, though a little angry, I will not too much care about it. Don't angry about someone who make a mistake by themselves. From now on, if I can do it better, then nobody can tell on me.
Then I told Mike I want to work as two positions, the one is HR, another is sales, he said OK after I finished the job of hr, I can try to sale our products. As fact, he doesn't support me anything. I only can study by myself. A liar. A big liar.
I asked when I was free, whether I can read my book because I would join a test, he promised. But I know him once he find I'm not do my job, he will run to me and ask me to do the affairs. It seems that he don't like me reading my book in my office.
I never late for my work in the future.
