A Busy Day Today
today was a busy day as usual and nothing important or special happened, as is the life of an ordianary high school headteacher. i got up at 6:20 in the morning and then went to my class to keep order and supervise students' morning self-study. the first two classes were english so i had to stayed in the classroon the whole early morning preparing lessons while students are reading. i only went home during the break to take two bowls of porrige made by my wife, who is also an english teacher and bears almost the same teaching load as i do.
during the exercise break, we senior 2, 34 classes in all participated in the formation running cmpetition. all my students are in their clean uniforms, white jackets and blue pants, looking extremely neat under the light sunlight. they all look energetic and vigorous, paces in unison and shouting their loud slogans: STRUGGLE TENACIOUS AND NEVER GIVE UP. their shouting slogan today is the loudest i ever heard since i became their headteacher. generally speaking, i'm satisfied with their prformance today.

- Seems you have a satisfying and respectable job and you are doing a wonderful job. When we think about people in our life, we often think about out teachers. You are creating a great impression in the lives of your students.

- thanks sunnyv for your comments. yes, i am working as a teacher. but in our real life our job is not that satisfying as some people think. we can often hear such comments: what happy life teachers are living! they earn relatively a lot; they have a stable job and don't have to worry about being thrown out of job in china; and what's the most envying thing is that teachers in china enjoy two long long holidays plus more than fifty weekends. the fact is that our everyday routine work is arranged to the extreme full that we can hardly have enough time for 3 meals. things are especially true for headteachers teaching in high school, the last stage students are preparing themselves for colleges or universities. i, for example, never went to bed before 11 pm, and get up before 6:20 every morning. the amount of time i stayed at school adds up to over 11 hours. that's our true life. but of course we are doing something to shape one's soul. this is true.
