Today I held the morning meeting. Actually, it was not a successful one. You know, though I had made great efforts on it, maybe it was still not enough.

In my inner heart, I really wanted to leave a good impression on my colleagues. The thing was that I got to started preparation on last Sunday by beginning collecting some materials, searching on the Internet for several hours as soon as I returned from outside. After collecting, organizing and selecting for another at least 1 hour, I confirmed the final word material for the presentation. And then was already late in the evening.

Yesterday, saying Monday, I went to the company and our task was not translation after the fixed morning meeting, but to sell sth outside with 50 RMB as your capital. We were divided into 2 groups, each with 5 people, to compete with each other. Which group earned more money? I brought 3 members in my group to my university for school was a good place to sell sth due to large numbers of customers and also, various products for us to choose to sell with a relatively cheap price. Based on our analysis and find out after wandering around my university for about 1 hour, we decided to sell black leads, you know, the core lead within a penholder. Among our 4 people, we were divided into 2 groups again. Unluckily, I and another girl met lots of obstacles in promoting our black leads to others. Some students rejected with that “Oh, I didn’t take money with me.” Some said that “I have just bought a box of black leads recently, so I don’t need them more.” Others replied that “It is too expensive!” We felt quite surprised, you know, 1 RMB for one black lead, which is a common price in a stationer. Is it expensive? Absolutely not! More ridiculously, one student said that “I never wrote with black lead, I only use pen.” Hearing this answer, we almost went crazy! Finally, in no way, I had to use my acquaintances to help me with these black leads. That is beyond doubt that interpersonal relationship is important for you and for your work. Anyway, our group won this game with a total earning of 45 RMB with 50 RMB capitals in less than half day. Congratulations to all of us! In the evening, Sister Xie invited us to have a dinner together in a restaurant near my university.

After we enjoyed finishing the dinner, it was 9 o’clock when I arrived at my dormitory. I hurried to continue to prepare for my presentation by making PPT, selecting flashes on my topic and practicing. The time was still short for me since the making of PPT took me 2 hours and searching for flashes 1 hour with no result, and I had to seek for help from my friend. After completing all of these, little time had left for me to do practicing. I stayed up to 1:00 o’clock and got up in today’s morning before 7 o’clock to practice. However, the contents were too much and I had to print my materials out, I had to be on time and reduced my time on practice. What was worse, the flash, which I had never seen before, couldn’t play on the computer of the small meeting room, when the larger one had been borrowed by others. So terrible! I didn’t expect it. All of these had made me nervous and my presentation had been stopped by several times. I was disappointed that it was unsuccessful for I had tried my best as possibly as I can under that situation. However, maybe I should not find excuses for me and I am supposed to reflect on myself carefully on this issue about what I can learn from this lesson and then make progress next time. You know, realizing your weakness and courageously face your failure are also a success! Come on, guy! I trust you!
