Do lovers have to break up on graduation day? (3)

Few days after they broke up, he, through the Xiaonei (Renren) Internet, wanted to chat with me. You know, we didn’t know each other though he had been my roommate’s boyfriend for three years. We had never talked and just met for two times. He felt very sad and asked whether I knew this thing. I told him I knew everything, but I could not do anything for him, for love is you two guys’ thing; I could not interrupt in. Then I helped him to analyze the reason they broke up. He thought what I said was very reasonable and decided to come back to her after struggling for two years. I wished good luck to him. The final answer remains a secret and no one knows it. Only God knows.
My dear friend, do lovers must break up for some realistic reasons? Do lovers must break up on graduation or near graduation?
