Long time no see, my dear friends! You see, I will or saying, have graduated from my university since I have got my Certificate of Graduation and Degree Certificate yesterday as well as my Certificate of Double Bachelor Degree. Of course, graduation ceremony has also been held yesterday. That means: I finally finish my 1460 university days!
This is a graduation season; this is also a season full of sadness. Thanks those for teaching me to love others selflessly; thanks those for telling me to forgive those who once hurt you; thanks my confidant for coming to my side or calling me in the first time when I am in depression even in despair; thanks my teachers for bringing knowledge and encouragement to me; thanks my university for providing such a beautiful campus and so many resources for me…; thanks for my “young sister Xu” and “big brother Shi” for with you, my life has become so colorful. I am lucky and happy to be with you in my university days!
My dear friend, wish you who decide to further study continue to enjoy your campus life; wish you who are going to work earn much money; wish you who go abroad can take good care of yourself! Hope you get what you long for and have a brilliant prospect!
A very familiar poem for you!
Saying Good-bye to Cambridge Again
Very quietly I take my leave
As quietly as I came here;
Quietly I wave good-bye
To the rosy clouds in the western sky.
The golden willows by the riverside
Are young brides in the setting sun;
Their reflections on the shimmering waves
Always linger in the depth of my heart.
The floating heart growing in the sludge
Sways leisurely under the water;
In the gentle waves of Cambridge
I would be a water plant!
That pool under the shade of elm trees
Holds not water but the rainbow from the sky;
Shattered to pieces among the duck weeds
Is the sediment of a rainbow-like dream?
To seek a dream?
Just to pole a boat upstream
To where the green grass is more verdant;
Or to have the boat fully loaded with starlight
And sing aloud in the splendor of starlight.
But I cannot sing aloud
Quietness is my farewell music;
Even summer insects keep silence for me
Silent is Cambridge tonight!
Very quietly I take my leave
As quietly as I came here;
Gently I flick my sleeves
Not even a wisp of cloud will I bring away
I only find the song in Chinese version, hope you guys can like it. For reference:
