Hello HC! I think our meeting this week went well. We learned about English words which have the silent "gh" letter combination, and a few others, as well. Attendance was fair and participation was great. We welcomed two new arrivals, Lusa and her daughter Nancy. Two people we haven't seen in a while, Lucy and Sophie also joined us. Our ever-faithful and dedicated Linda was, as usual our first member to arrive.
After we spent some time in the classroom most of us decided to embark on a little trip to New Yuan Ming Palace. You can see some of the pictures taken while were there, which have already been posted here. We took a nice stroll through the park, enjoyed the lovely scenery, and had a little something to eat along the way. The aroma (and beauty) of some of the flowers in bloom was heavenly! It seemed like it was going to rain, but luckily it didn't. All in all, I think we had a very nice time. Perhaps we can go somewhere else after our class next SUNDAY afternoon. If you have any interesting ideas or suggestions, please bring them to our attention when you come to the meeting. Remember, you can't join in on the fun if you don't show up! See you next week.
