Hello everyone. Here's the latest review of our last HC English Corner meeting. To begin with there's some good news. We're very fortunate to have had six new attendees join us for the first time. I'd like to thank Aaron, Jack, Jessica, Kim, Scarlett, and Yogi (and Lucy too!) for coming. You're warmly welcomed. Your participation is appreciated. We talked a about a variety of things this week, beginning with some English words which have silent letters, as well as some which use the "gh" letter combination as an "f" sound. Then we moved on to another topic. Nick provided us with a recently published article about United States President Barack Obama to read and review. It told of his very humble beginnings, and the improbability and unlikelihood of his eventual ascendancy to the presidency of the U.S. We discussed the article and some of the words and ideas in it. I fielded some political questions, but I couldn't answer some other questions about President Obama's family and parents. Well, I've looked that information up since then, so I'm much more familiar with those subjects now. However, if you're curious about them, you'll need to attend the next meeting to learn the answers for yourself! We hope to see you there .
Unfortunatly , I absent this week's hc meeting because l join the English Contest . That's a good jurney to improve my speaking leadership .
have a nice moment for all .
