My mother was in a happy mood since she got an unusual gift from my father. The gift she got was a gold ring, which had been bought for her secretly.  She seemed to be a little shy with excitement when getting the gift. I saw my mother’s blush that I had rarely seen. May be she had never thought of it, let alone what kinds of jewelry. Because my father was never a romantic person. Many years ago, she did not get any of meaning gifts even during the wedding. So do not mention any kind of jewelry. I heard that during the period of they lived in, the standard of living was very low that enough food would be satisfied them, not to mention paying extra money for jewelry. 

      So I could understand how my mother feeling. Sometimes I was wondering what’s the most important in our lifetime?  Money? No. High life? No. just living with my family and enjoying the happiness of domestic affection with slights are enough.
