During the training session, we were told that we will be sent in Mid-July, but in fact we waited at home and got physical examination at Chongqing Quarantine and Inspection Service in mid-August. In examination , my blood pressure was a little high. The woman doctor consent to check once more one hour later on my demand. The latter result filled in the test paper was 90-140, the critical value for high blood pressure. Why do I want to go to  Indonesia now and I didn’t want to go before. I think it was because of my competitiveness . I thought that I should be able to teach Chinese to foreign students ,now that my test points were not below others’.

After the physical examination ,I signed the Agreement on Teaching Chinese in Indonesia for Volunteer Teachers. I was one of the 11 volunteers ,waiting to go to teach Chinese to Indonesians.

Since mid-July I passed the oral and written tests by Hanban, I have been waiting for the call to set out. I read English books , studied Indonesian and also surfed the Internet to learn about Indonesia. I told my job change to my elder sister and my younger brother, but not let my parents know. Till later, Father knew about it, I had to tell him the truth. But to Mother, I only told her that I would go errands for a few months, becauseI was afraid that she worried about me.

The summer holidays was gone in waiting and the new semester began. As an English teacher quit her job, I gave one week’s lessons until another teacher came to substitute me.
