The Style of Writing 文风

I have been writing for so many years —— this is a fact about which I've been sighing ever since I realised it. For these precious years of time, I must admit that, I have been seeking after as much complacency as possible. I have abandoned myself to a seemingly bad attitude, an attitude which must needs treat the art of writing in a rather autocratic way. For this sake, I feel as if I am lost in some rather vast and blind space, in which I am untiringly rushing and barging, while not knowing what the authentic route is for composing a good article. I once guessed I had been caught in the disorientation of my own creation.
我已经写了好几年的文章——这是一个自从我意识到它以来我就一直为之叹息的事实。我必须承认，在这珍贵的几年时光里，我一直在探求尽可能多的自满。我令自己放纵于一种真的很坏的态度中，这个态度就是非要以一种尤为专行的方式来对待写作的艺术。因为这个原因，我感到仿佛自己陷入了一个尤为广阔而盲目的空间，在这个空间里我不知疲倦地冲啊撞啊，而却不知道什么是创作出一篇好的文章的真正的路线。我迷失在了我自己创作的迷惑之中。
However, despite that I'm so often confused, I am still consciously aware that, rather than a kind of universally acceptable literature, what I have originated is my own heartfelt style of writing. I believe that, if a writer doesn't write what he is born to write, and instead he writes in terms of what the general knowledge says about all writers' writing style, he will surely be the very one who's lost in that blind and confusing space, unable to find for himself a characterictic and resolute fashion. The reason why one is feeling lost is not that he is in the absence of an authentic route for composing a good article, but is that he lacks his insight into the writings of himself.
然而，尽管我是如此经常的迷茫，我仍然清楚地意识到，与其说是一种被广泛认可的文学，我所独创的却是我自己由衷的写作风格。我相信，如果一个作者不去写他生来就命中该写的东西，而要根据一般认识中所说的所有作者都应有的的文风来写作，他就一定会正是那个迷失在盲目和困惑的空间里的人，而无法为他找到自己独特与坚决的风格。一个人感到迷失的原因不是因为他缺少创作出一篇好的文章的真正的路线，而是因为他缺少对自己写作的深刻认识。

- When I was in primary school, the teacher tested my writing and asked me to write something about the moonlight.
I wrote:
I can find lots of beautiful words to describe the moonlight but, it is better to show you the 'glint of light on broken glass on a dark night.'
Words are not enough.
