Sad with the bird's blood I am, but hardly with the pain of a fish: it is the former who makes voices that excels in fortune. We humans love tenderly the animals who resemble us, get close to us and make themselves understood by us. Birds differ from fish in it that they appear, while fish don't, in agreement with our aesthetic, and make sounds we appreciate. A man shows no mercy in hitting a mosquito to death, yet what if killing a dog? He can never. I can't tell if this is good or bad, for I am no other than a human who already has, from which I can refute, no standpoint.
悲于鸟血而不悲鱼伤，有声者幸也。人类只会对和人类相近、亲近、有申辩表达能力的动物表现出怜悯。鸟和鱼的区别就在于，鸟的外表符合人类的审美，还能发出能被人类接受的声音，而鱼则不能。人能毫无愧疚之心拍死一只蚊子，但能对狗也这样吗？肯定是不能的。我说不出这样到底好不好，只因我也是人类，早已没了反驳立场。
