You have a nap after lunch. It's good to have a rest after a half day's work.

Daily routines may be mundane but it becomes interesting when you compare it to the routines of other people. Your working time seems to be much less than the people in my city. We get up at 6 or 7 and arrive in the office at 830am or 9am. The busiet time is in the morning when we have to attend to all those enquiriy by email, faxed and internal memos. Our lunch hour is only one hour 1pm-2pm. Nobody takes a nap in the daytime or noon here and it would look strange if you take a nap during the day. We return to work at 2pm and have tea  and snacks at 4pm for 10-20 minutes, then work till 6pm when we return home for dinner. The afternoons are used to clear up pending work and respond to customers before the end of the day. Quite a few employees continue to work till 9pm.

We work according to a work list and we know what is delayed and where the time went, so that we can be more efficient the next day or in future. We do not have to work on Saturdays and Sundays. So you can see that we have similar working hours after calculating them. Employees here seem satisfied because they have reasonably good pay, holidays and can save up to 50% of their monthly salary because we do not have to pay expensive rent. We have government provided houses or buy their own with easy mortgages from the banks. Employers and employee interests and needs are well balanced according to their own contribution and productivity. Working conditions are improving everywhere and hope you would be able to enjoy your work too.
