These days, the most poplar topic is about National Higher Education Entrance Examination, commonly known as GaoKao,is an academic examination held annually in China. What do you think of when we talk about GaoKao? For me,I'm still remember when i was young,my parents used to urge me to study hard that they believed the knowledge can change one's fate. They took good care of me so that left me more time to study. At that time, it cause me stressful and make me tired for prepare,I had to read a planty of books, did a lot of homework and test paper, got up early and went to bed late every day.May be I can say,my knowledge reached the peak of my life during the year of Gaokao, from astronomy to geograph without I didn't know. Are you feeling the same?Haha~
Generally speaking,Gaokao is the final examination and result of your several years hard study,it has a great significance for every student. However,Gaokao is not the only way to success,it just a quiz and experience in your life.In the vastness of life,we should have unlimited power to advance.Let's go ahead~

You may not know it, but actually in all the major countries of the world, there is also a same examination system like Gaokao. In England we all have to pass at least 5 subjects (Language, Economics, Geography, Biology, Chemistry etc) before we can enter university. About 60% of the students pass the exam. The rest who failed go on to technical or vocational schools.

Seems you are well organized and can arrange your studies properly. You should be able to pass with good grades. Wish you the best.

I think some of the high school teachers have been misleading kids by saying only being albe to attend a decent universit guarantees a happier and successful life, but what I see is that some of excellent blue-collar are having a style of living which white-collar couldn't enjoy,  those blue-collar from vocational schools probably earns more,

As far as I know, the basis of education in China is the most powerful in the world.Once I read a news that the one was the math department assistant which work in a foreign university,he said many foreign student couldn't make out the result of 1 minus 0.99.From this news we can see that the Chinese student's huge study burden and unbelievable pressure, they have to learn a lot, although some part of the knowledge not to use in the future.

You seem to have overestimated the the students and the education system in China. The China education system is actually not that perfect and needs to be improved. University of Brighton has done research on students from China with the following result;

POSITIVE SIDE:
They work very hard
They are highly motivated
They are eager to learn
They have good memories and can recite by heart
They show much greater respect to their teachers than other students
They ask lots of questions outside formal teaching sessions

NEGATIVE SIDE:
They are rote learners
They remain silent in class
They do not like to participate in group work
They stick to themselves and do not want to integrate with foreigners
Critical thinking is a difficult concept for them to grasp
They often plagiarise
They find it difficult to come up with their own ideas
‘Face’ is a very important concept for them
Their assignments are often badly laid out and it is difficult to follow their arguments
They avoid coming to their tutor for help
They expect too much of their tutor
They won’t ask questions during sessions but line up with their questions afterwards
They prefer to sit at the back of the classroom to avoid attention
Some of them seem to lack confidence

FUTURE:
Teachers at overseas western universities are trying hard to help Chinese students to cross over from one cultural tradition to another or at least to meet in the middle.  If they cannot even start to make this journey of discovery, then they will probably fail in their studies.

Things are changing fast in China and we are beginning to see quite of lot of smart, forward looking and confident students at overseas universities. Chinese students are much more willing to integrate with foreign students as they reap lots of benefits through integration. At present most Asian students, not only China, are known to be good in studies and academic achievement. A bright future is front of them.
