Remove ice

Hot 2465 views. 2014-7-6 15:14

This morning, my wife found the refrigerator's door not closed firmly.
"It was you again."
"Close it firmly now."
"I can't. Come to see."
I went over and found some ice was at the door's mouth.
"So let's remove all the ice."
"Use the fan to blow." She said.
With blowing, the ice melt quickly.
"You are wise."
"You don't use head."
Actually, fan came into my mind before my wife.
But I thought the effectiveness was little possibly. So I didn't act.

Some scenes came into my mind.
It was a winter day. I used knife and screw drive to accelerate removing refrigerator ice.
It was a long time. The removal didn't end when it was dark. It was too late when ended.
Compared to fan blowing, it was lame.
"Is fan blowing efficient in winter?" I asked myself.
"In winter, air temperature indoors  is comparable. So fan blowing is good in any season." I told myself.

Sure a fan can help melt ice quicker. Anybody who defrost a freezer would know that. I still remember my previous fridge which required defrosting every two weeks. The ice was real thick. When I blow the fan towards the ice, it becomes watery and after several minutes the whole piece of ice falls out and becomes easily removed. If you don't want to see ice accumulating, then don't open the fridge door too much because the outside air is humid. Also wet things must be covered in the fridge.

Eventually, I bought a new inexpensive fridge which was really efficient. No frost or ice. No need to defrost, no smell and no need to clean even. Can keep vegetables fresh up to 4 days. Very convenient for lazy me. No fun buying groceries.
